about the role

The Data Analyst is responsible for compiling and analyzing data to help product owners and business leaders make data-driven decisions, develop business plans and implement new strategies. This role will work with enterprise and client leaders to facilitate data requests, gather information from various sources, look for trends, patterns, and anomalies within it, and deliver results in a meaningful way.

responsibilities

  • Create & manage scheduled & ad-hoc reports for internal stakeholders
  • Perform exploratory analysis on large sets of raw data to identify trends, patterns and other useful information that can be used to inform business decisions.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate results of analysis to internal stakeholders using reports and charts to ensure common understanding.
  • Recognize key metrics and build high-level dashboards to track them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation procedures
  • Conduct research to gather data on specific topics or industries; recommend changes based on the results of research
  • Collect, analyze and store data in an organized fashion to ensure it can be retrieved efficiently when needed
  • Bring an agile and engineering mindset to address complex problems, identify opportunities and craft creative solutions. 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of toolkits and methodologies.
  • Positively and deliberately engage with colleagues - external and internal - to foster collaborative and productive relationships. 
  • Conduct self in alignment with revology values.

requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle domain
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Experience with data analytics visualization tools
  • Detailed oriented with solid organizational skills
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and grittiness as you join revology in an early phase of our start-up journey. Working within the gray is an absolute.

Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to: moving or handling (lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching overhead) office equipment and supplies weighing 1 to 25 lbs. unassisted.  Frequently required to sit for extended periods during the workday.  Manual dexterity and visual acuity required.  Must be able to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person.
